Nuremberg Weather, When to Go and Nuremberg Climate Information
(Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany, DE)
The climate in the city of Nuremberg is fairly temperate, with only subtle temperature changes month by month. However, the weather can be a little unpredictable at times and rain can be expected at any time, throughout the year, with slightly raised precipitation levels in the heart of the summer.

Nuremberg is located south of central Germany and in the Middle Franconia region, with this region being known for its chilly icy winters. The coldest weather falls between December and March, with harsh and widespread overnight frosts being commonplace, due to the city's southerly location. January and February can be especially chilly in the Nuremberg area, with daytime temperatures lingering just above 0°C / 32°F with occasional light snow flurries, although some days can feel mild and show a glimpse of springtime.
Nuremberg Weather and Climate: Seasonal Variations / When to Go - Nuremberg, Germany, DE
The climate in Nuremberg soon begins to warm up towards the end of March, with daytime highs of 10°C / 50°F, rising to more than 15°C / 59°F during April. When May arrives, the trees have all burst into leaf and the city has gained a fresh appearance.
By the time that the summer weather is in full swing, the weather is usually warm and at times, rather hot, when daytime temperatures can average 28°C / 82°F or more. Although the climate improves and the temperatures rise during the summer season, Nuremberg's precipitation levels also rise and the city can be prone to thunderstorms, often taking place overnight and affecting the overall levels of humidity.
Anytime between May and October is a great time to visit Nuremberg, when much of the city seems to move outdoors. However, even though the winter months can be cold, the cheaper hotel rates can be quite enticing and romantic short breaks are popular, particularly around Christmas and New Year.
